Advertising & Sponsorship Policy
Last updated: 2025. 08. 13
This policy explains how Globaity handles advertising, sponsorships, and commercial partnerships. It ensures our readers understand how such arrangements work and how they relate to our editorial independence.
1) Editorial Independence
- All editorial decisions are made independently by our editors and journalists.
- Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over the topics we cover, the sources we use, or the conclusions we draw.
- Sponsored content is produced according to the same accuracy and transparency standards as editorial content, with clear labeling.
2) Advertising Formats We Use
- Display Ads: Banner, sidebar, and in‑article placements, served via ad networks (e.g., Google AdSense).
- Sponsored Content: Articles, videos, or social posts created in collaboration with a sponsor, clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership.”
- Affiliate Links: Links to products or services where we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
- Native Ads: Ads styled to match the site’s look but labeled as “Advertisement” or “Sponsored.”
3) Labeling & Transparency
- Sponsored content is labeled at the top of the piece and within social shares.
- Affiliate links are disclosed in the article, usually before the first such link, and/or in a general affiliate disclosure.
- Display ads are marked as ads when they are not clearly separate from content.
4) Sponsored Content Process
- We review all potential sponsorships for brand fit and relevance to our audience.
- We draft content ideas; the sponsor may suggest topics but cannot dictate conclusions or final copy.
- The content is reviewed by our editorial team for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to guidelines.
- The final version is labeled “Sponsored” or equivalent before publication.
5) Affiliate Links & Commissions
- We may earn commissions from purchases made through affiliate links. This helps support our work and keeps most content free to access.
- Affiliate partnerships do not affect product rankings, reviews, or recommendations.
- When we use affiliate links, we aim to link to reputable retailers and up‑to‑date offers.
6) Advertiser Restrictions
- We do not accept advertising from sources that promote illegal, harmful, or misleading products/services.
- We reject ads for products making unfounded health, financial, or investment claims.
- We avoid ads that disrupt user experience (e.g., excessive pop‑ups, auto‑play with sound).
7) Separation of Content & Ads
- Editorial content and advertising are visually distinct.
- Writers and editors producing editorial content do not receive direct payments from advertisers for that content.
8) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. We encourage readers to review it regularly.
